Galaxy S25 & S25+ Review: Still Great, but Is It Enough?

Galaxy S25 & S25+ Review: Still Great, but Is It Enough?

Samsung’s back with the Galaxy S25 and S25+, and yeah—they're solid. But in a world of folding phones, AI everything, and ever-climbing price tags, are these new flagships really worth the hype (and your cash)?

Let’s dig in.

---

Design & Display: Sleek, Familiar, Safe

If you’ve seen the S24, you’ve basically seen the S25. Samsung didn’t reinvent the wheel here—but that’s not a bad thing. Both phones still feel premium in-hand with flat edges, a slim profile, and Gorilla Glass Victus 3 front and back.

The displays? Absolutely gorgeous, as always:

S25: 6.2-inch AMOLED, 120Hz refresh, crisp and bright

S25+: 6.7-inch version of the same, for folks who want that extra screen real estate

No surprises—but also no complaints.

---

Performance: Fast with a Side of Smart

Both phones are powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (in most markets), and performance is buttery. Apps launch instantly, multitasking is seamless, and gaming is rock solid.

Samsung’s pushing the AI angle hard this year, with features like:

Live call translation

AI photo editing (think: remove shadows, reflections, etc.)

“Note Assist” in Samsung Notes that summarizes and formats your chaotic scribbles

It’s cool stuff, though we’re not sure it’s must-have level yet. Still, nice to have.

---

Camera: Minor Tweaks, Major Results

On paper, the cameras seem similar to last year. But the real-world results are sharper and more balanced:

50MP main sensor: Great in all lighting conditions

12MP ultra-wide: Still solid

10MP 3x telephoto: Surprisingly crisp zoom shots

Samsung also continues to lead the pack in video stabilization and night mode photography.

That said—if you’ve got the S23 or S24, the camera jump here might not feel huge.

---

Battery Life & Charging: Same Game

Battery life is… fine. You’ll get a full day with moderate use, but don’t expect a two-day beast.

Charging:

S25: 25W wired, 15W wireless

S25+: 45W wired, 15W wireless

Samsung still refuses to join the ultra-fast charging club, which is kind of a bummer.

The Verdict: Worth It?

If you’re rocking a Galaxy S22 or older—yes, it’s a worthy upgrade. Speed, camera, AI tools—it’s a slick package.

But if you’ve got an S24 or even an S23? You might want to hold off unless the AI features are a must for you or you really want a slightly better camera.

And of course, you can grab the Galaxy S25 and S25+—and probably for much less—right here on LeDeaux.com.
